TRON DAO, a community-governed decentralised autonomous organisation, has formed a strategic partnership with MoonPay, a global digital asset payments platform enabling seamless digital asset transactions.
The partnership aims to expand access to the TRON ecosystem in the United States by enabling users to purchase TRX, the TRON network’s native token, directly via MoonPay, according to FF News.
This move marks the first phase of the collaboration and underscores both firms’ commitment to improving on-ramps to decentralised finance.
TRON DAO oversees the TRON blockchain, which powers a high-volume decentralised ecosystem with over 8.3 million daily transactions. The network hosts numerous DeFi services, supports stablecoin infrastructure, and enables various real-world blockchain applications. Notably, TRON has also become a preferred platform for USDT issuance, housing over $70bn of the stablecoin in circulation.
MoonPay, meanwhile, facilitates global digital asset payments by offering a user-friendly interface and programmable payment capabilities. It allows users to buy, sell and manage digital assets with ease, helping to bridge the gap between traditional finance and Web3 adoption.
Through this integration, MoonPay users across the U.S. gain direct access to TRX, enabling greater participation in the TRON ecosystem. The listing comes as TRX continues to be one of the top digital assets by market capitalisation, surpassing $23bn as of April 2025, and being listed on more than 130 exchanges globally.
This collaboration also supports TRON’s ambition to serve as a global settlement network, particularly in cross-border and emerging markets. With a robust ecosystem, including the second-largest USDT supply, TRON’s infrastructure is being leveraged for scalable blockchain-based financial solutions.
