SECUTIX, a market leader in advanced digital solutions for the event industry, has announced a strategic partnership with Cover Genius, a global InsurTech firm renowned for embedded protection technology.

The collaboration aims to enhance ticket protection offerings across the live events sector, providing customers with seamless, automated refund solutions.

This new alliance empowers SECUTIX customers to offer ticket buyers a straightforward protection solution powered by Cover Genius’ globally compliant platform. The integration is designed to improve buyer confidence by allowing refunds in cases of illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances—ultimately boosting customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Cover Genius’ award-winning technology will be integrated into SECUTIX’s ticketing infrastructure to deliver embedded ticket protection. By simplifying the refund process and eliminating regulatory complexity through global compliance, the solution benefits both event organisers and attendees.

Founded in Switzerland, SECUTIX provides cloud-based SaaS solutions for ticketing and audience management, catering to clients in the sports, cultural, and entertainment sectors. The platform allows event organisers to manage ticket sales efficiently while enhancing the fan experience. Cover Genius, headquartered in New York, is a top-tier InsurTech provider whose global distribution platform, XCover, offers embedded protection products for various industries including travel, retail, and ticketing.

The partnership follows a successful pilot run with Silverstone during the 2024 British Grand Prix, where integrated ticket protection demonstrated a clear impact on customer experience and operational efficiency.

Future developments in the partnership are already underway, with features like “Cancel for Any Reason” being considered to further enhance flexibility and support for ticket buyers. A dedicated support team from both companies will continue to refine and expand the service.

SECUTIX senior vice president of technology Marc Mazzariol said, “Through our partnership with Cover Genius, we’re expanding our offer beyond ticketing operations. In recent years, the demand for ticket protection has grown, especially post-COVID, as event organisers and venues seek to provide fans with peace of mind. Cover Genius is the ideal partner due to its global compliance, which removes regulatory complexities for our clients, and its commitment to continuous innovation, allowing us to add new features to the platform.”

Cover Genius chief business officer Kyle Keogh added, “Live events are booming and across the ticketing industry we’re seeing demand for protection options that provide customers with the flexibility to purchase tickets early, knowing their investment is safe if they’re unexpectedly unable to attend. We are thrilled to partner with SECUTIX to bring industry-leading protection to their customers. Our global award-winning technology not only ensures ticket buyers can easily access refund options, but also equips event organizers with the tools to handle refunds smoothly and increase customer satisfaction.”
