Kennedys IQ has teamed up with Solomonic, a litigation analytics firm known for its data-driven insights, to improve how litigation risk is managed throughout the insurance lifecycle.
The partnership addresses growing demand in the insurance sector for external data that improves visibility into risk, according to InsurTech Insights.
By combining Solomonic’s litigation data with Kennedys IQ’s event detection and policy wording analytics, the collaboration aims to deliver a transparent, explainable framework for assessing risk across policy issuance, management, and renewal.
Kennedys IQ develops technology-driven solutions for insurers, focusing on claims handling, risk evaluation, and legal automation. Its SmartRisk Machine Intelligence, launched in March 2025, enhances its AI-powered platform with contextual risk analysis.
Solomonic provides precision litigation analytics, helping legal professionals and insurers make informed decisions using court data and trend insights.
This initiative builds on earlier research led by Kennedys IQ, part-funded by Innovate UK and developed with partners including University College London, the University of Manchester, RiskCovered, and Havas. The partnership expands the capabilities of SmartRisk, giving insurers deeper, actionable insights to support more accurate underwriting and reduce claims uncertainty.
Kennedys IQ chief product officer Karim Derrick said, “We are incredibly excited about the potential of bringing litigation data into the IQ Platform. Litigation is the risk of risks—it will enable our clients to gain deeper insight into the world around them. When combined with SmartRisk Machine Intelligence, we avoid data overload and instead deliver contextual analysis.”
Solomonic chief revenue officer Peter Nussey said, “We’re thrilled to partner with Kennedys IQ and expand the use of our data into domains where its value can be harnessed. Collaboration and continued innovation will empower new clients to drive greater impact within their businesses.”
