Etops, a WealthTech provider based in Europe, has acquired Finanzportal24, a German software company specialising in financial planning tools.

Finanzportal24, founded in 2002 by Hubertus Schmidt and headquartered in Burbach, serves over 4,500 users and is recognised for its intuitive, technically robust, and practical financial planning solutions.

The acquisition is designed to bolster Etops’ presence in the digital wealth advisory space, enhancing its integrated offering for independent financial advisors, intermediaries, banks, and insurance providers. While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the move aligns with Etops’ buy-and-build strategy to expand its WealthTech capabilities across Europe.

Finanzportal24 delivers powerful financial planning software to the German market, enabling advisors to provide clients with comprehensive, technically sound advice. The software is widely praised for its usability and depth, and supports advisory services across a range of client profiles. Etops, on the other hand, offers end-to-end technology solutions covering financial planning, portfolio management, and reporting—positioning itself as a full-service digital advisory platform.

Following the acquisition, Finanzportal24 will retain its independence and continue operations with its current team in Burbach and Marburg. However, it will also benefit from Etops’ broader infrastructure, network, and market access, which will help accelerate its growth.

This deal is part of a broader effort by Etops to reinforce its leadership position in European WealthTech and deliver a seamless digital value chain to modern financial intermediaries. The acquisition also reflects the ongoing support of Pollen Street Capital, which is backing Etops’ expansion strategy.

Etops group CEO Pius Stucki said, “We are very pleased to welcome Finanzportal24, a company with deep expertise in financial planning, into our group. This acquisition enables us to strategically expand our offering and provide our clients with a seamless, digital value chain – from financial planning to portfolio management to reporting.”

Finanzportal24 founder Hubertus Schmidt said, “We see Etops as the ideal partner to continue our growth strategy and make our solutions accessible to an even broader target audience. Our shared vision is to actively shape the digital transformation of financial advisory.”
