Ushur, a company specialising in Customer Experience Automation (CXA) for regulated industries, has renewed its HITRUST r2 certification, reinforcing its commitment to information security and compliance excellence.

The designation places Ushur among a select group of global organisations that meet the most stringent regulatory, risk management and compliance requirements in industries like healthcare, insurance, and financial services.

Founded to transform enterprise customer engagement, Ushur provides AI-powered automation solutions through its CXA platform.

Its technology allows businesses to create vertical AI agents that streamline customer interactions, automate workflows, and enhance service delivery—without compromising on data security or compliance obligations.

With this renewed certification, Ushur aims to give enterprise clients greater confidence in deploying automation tools, especially in sectors burdened with regulatory pressures.

The company’s platform supports strict compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, making it particularly appealing to firms handling sensitive personal and financial information.

In addition to the HITRUST r2 certification, Ushur also holds a SOC 2 Type II certification and aligns with global data protection standards. It has demonstrated commitment to accessibility, achieving WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 compliance, enabling organisations to provide inclusive digital experiences aligned with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

“Our HITRUST r2 recertification validates that commitment—enabling enterprises in healthcare, financial services, and insurance to deploy our Vertical AI Agents with confidence, knowing we meet the industry’s highest standards,” said Henry Peter, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at Ushur.

Chandra Dash, Senior Director of Information Security & GRC at Ushur, added: “Organisations in regulated industries face relentless pressure to stay ahead of evolving security threats and ever-changing compliance requirements… Our HITRUST r2 recertification reinforces our unwavering commitment to security and trust—so our customers can confidently deploy AI-powered automation to transform their customer experiences.”

Commenting on the certification process, Jeremy Huval, Chief Innovation Officer at HITRUST, said: “HITRUST certification is considered the gold standard because of the comprehensiveness and applicability of the control requirements, depth of the assurance process and level of oversight that ensures accuracy.”
