Cable Insurance, a UK-based commercial auto insurance provider specialising in flexible cover for fleet operations, has entered into a strategic partnership with TruckerCloud, a US-based telematics platform offering device-agnostic data integration across transport and logistics systems.

The alliance aims to bolster Cable Insurance’s telematics initiative, delivering real-time driving insights, optimising claims data handling, and refining risk assessment processes.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to modernising the commercial fleet insurance landscape through data-driven solutions.

TruckerCloud’s platform allows seamless aggregation of data from various telematics and video devices, removing the inefficiencies and fragmentation often associated with managing multiple systems.

This unified approach empowers Cable’s underwriting and claims departments with deeper, fleet-level insights, supporting smarter decision-making and more accurate pricing models.

Cable Insurance, known for its bespoke insurance offerings tailored to the unique risks of fleet operators, is seeking to elevate the value it delivers to clients by integrating advanced analytics and risk mitigation tools.

Meanwhile, TruckerCloud focuses on enabling access to actionable telematics intelligence without requiring costly or time-consuming custom integrations, making it easier for insurers to adopt and scale fleet analytics capabilities.

The collaboration will grant Cable centralised access to a wide array of telematics data, allowing it to enhance underwriting precision, shorten claims cycles, and better support loss control strategies.

This initiative positions both firms at the forefront of InsurTech innovation, aiming to increase transparency, efficiency and road safety for insured fleet operators.

Additionally, this partnership underlines the growing importance of telematics in commercial auto insurance, where real-time data plays a crucial role in improving performance, reducing costs and protecting assets in an increasingly digitised industry.

TruckerCloud CEO Spencer Mitchell said, “Cable Insurance is known for its flexibility and deep understanding of specialised fleet risks. We’re proud to support their commitment to smarter, data-driven insurance. Our platform helps them access and apply telematics insights without needing to build custom integrations—making advanced fleet analytics easier and more scalable.”

Cable Insurance CEO Steve Sims said, “At Cable, we don’t just insure fleets—we empower them with tools for safer, smarter operations. Partnering with TruckerCloud puts cutting-edge telematics in the hands of our clients and transforms how we underwrite, manage claims, and ultimately protect their business on the road.”
