They were in a ton of magazines. I really liked the vibe of the owner.” The feeling didn’t last. The photographer, who showed up 45 minutes late with a team of two, wasn’t the owner, as the company had promised. She was someone Goldin had never spoken to. The fill-in had a bad attitude from the start, said Goldin, who lives in Chicago and got…
Vulnerabilities in Apple’s AirPlay protocol and the accompanying SDK could allow attackers to take over devices, in some instances without user interaction, runtime protection firm Oligo Security says. The identified security defects, 23 in total, could be exploited over wireless networks and peer–to-peer connections, leading to the complete compromise of not only Apple products, but also third-party devices that use the AirPlay SDK. Two of the discovered vulnerabilities, tracked as CVE-2025-24252 and CVE-2025-24132, enable attackers to build wormable zero-click remote code execution exploits. The compromised devices could be used as a launchpad for additional compromise. “This means that an attacker…

The most severe of the externally reported security defects is CVE-2025-4096, a high-severity heap buffer overflow issue in HTML that earned the reporting researcher a $5,000 bug bounty reward. The remaining three vulnerabilities reported by external researchers include medium-severity out-of-bounds memory access and insufficient data validation issues in DevTools, and a low-severity inappropriate…

The United States has announced its first criminal prosecutions against migrants and asylum seekers accused of crossing into a newly created military zone along the country’s border with Mexico. Court filings submitted on Monday – and reviewed by US media the following day – show that approximately 28 people have been charged with “violations of security regulations” for breaching the military zone. That charge, though a misdemeanour, carries the possibility of heightened penalties. The US Code stipulates that violations of security regulations can result in a fine of up to $100,000 for individuals or up to a year in prison…
