A United States district judge has struck down an executive order from President Donald Trump that targeted the law firm Perkins Coie over its representation of his Democratic election rival Hillary Clinton. Milliken, who has led major public university systems in New York and Texas, was named president of the University of California on Friday.Milliken comes to the role from the University of Texas, where he has served as chancellor since 2018.
