At this year’s HP Amplify printer conference, the firm announced ‘the world’s first business printers to protect against quantum computer attacks’. The printers incorporate the Leighton-Micali Signature (LMS) which is a stateful hash-based signature (HBS) scheme. Nvidia is releasing what it’s calling an AI foundation model for humanoid robotics. Announced at GTC 2025 in San Jose, the model, dubbed Groot N1, is a “generalist” model, trained on both synthetic and real data. Nvidia claims that Groot N1 features a “dual system architecture” for “thinking fast and slow,” inspired by human cognitive processes. Groot N1 is an evolution of Nvidia’s Project Groot, which the company launched at its GTC conference last year. The leading authority on the United States Supreme Court has issued a rare statement rebuking US President Donald Trump for calling for a federal judge’s impeachment. On Tuesday, Chief Justice John Roberts released two short lines, neither of which mention Trump by name. But his message was clear: Threatening a federal judge with impeachment is not acceptable. “For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. A California pet food maker has recalled its raw chicken products after they were linked to bird flu infections in two cats and suspected in a third in New York City.
