Broadcom released a security alert on Tuesday morning to warn VMware customers about three zero-days that have been exploited in the wild. The vulnerabilities, tracked as CVE-2025-22224, CVE-2025-22225 and CVE-2025-22226,  affect VMware ESXi, Workstation, and Fusion. Patches have been released for each impacted product, but workarounds are not available. Google on Monday announced fixes for more than 40 vulnerabilities in Android, warning that two of the issues are actively exploited in the wild. The exploited flaws include CVE-2024-43093, a bypass of a file path filter in the Framework component that could lead to privilege escalation, and CVE-2024-50302, a zero-initialize issue with the report buffer in Linux kernel that could lead to memory leaks. The cybersecurity agency CISA on Monday added five security holes to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog, but for most of them in-the-wild exploitation has been known for months or years.   One of the vulnerabilities added to the CISA KEV list is CVE-2018-8639, a Windows privilege escalation vulnerability that Microsoft patched back in 2018.  South Korean cybersecurity firm AhnLab flagged exploitation of CVE-2018-8639 in February 2023, in a report describing the attacks of a China-linked APT named Dalbit (m00nlight).
