Aryon Security, an innovative cloud security company, today announced its exit from stealth mode.
Founded by veterans of the Israel Defense Forces’ elite “Matzov” unit, Aryon Security is introducing a groundbreaking Cloud Security Enforcement Platform designed to prevent cloud risks before they become a problem in production environments.
The company has successfully raised $9m in seed funding. The investment round was led by Viola Ventures and Blumberg Capital, with significant contributions from cybersecurity industry notables such as Shlomo Kramer, Maty Siman, and Rubi Aronashvili.
Aryon Security is set to transform the $44bn global cloud security market by shifting from the traditional reactive “deploy and detect” model to a proactive policy enforcement approach. This shift aims to prevent the common misconfigurations and data protection errors that plague cloud deployments.
The funds from this round will be used to further develop Aryon’s platform, which enables security teams to preemptively address risks by enforcing precise, AI-powered policies. This approach not only enhances security but also reduces the resources typically required to manage cloud risks.
Additionally, Aryon Security has garnered attention for its founders’ deep security expertise and their previous collaboration on securing Israel’s national cloud computing project, Nimbus. This project, worth $7.2bn, involved creating a secure cloud infrastructure for Israeli government and private sector use.
Oran Hollander, CSO at SAP Fioneer, emphasized the impact of Aryon’s technology, “This is a game-changer for any organization doing business in the cloud. Security is paramount for everyone, and the complexity and potential risks of cloud security are significant barriers to expanding cloud use. Aryon provides a unique solution that checks everything before it is deployed to the cloud, decreasing risks and saving significant resources by shifting the paradigm from chasing cloud security drift to intelligent policy enforcement.”
