Armis has announced the acquisition of OTORIO, a specialist in operational technology (OT) and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security.
OTORIO, recognised for its innovative Titan platform, focuses on providing security solutions that are crucial for industries like oil and gas, utilities, and manufacturing.
The acquisition is driven by the need to address the growing demand for hybrid environments that cater to sectors requiring high-level security measures such as energy and utilities. The deal will see OTORIO’s Titan platform integrated into Armis’ cloud-based Centrix™ platform, enhancing Armis’ offerings with an on-premises solution specifically for environments that are airgapped or otherwise isolated from online threats.
Armis is renowned for its cyber exposure management capabilities, offering a cloud SaaS platform that delivers extensive visibility, security, and risk management across various industries. OTORIO brings to Armis deep technical expertise in securing critical infrastructure within cyber-physical and air-gapped environments.
OTORIO’s integration is expected to bolster Armis’ existing services by enabling secure remote access and full attack path mapping, thus offering a more robust defence against cyber threats for critical infrastructures. This move aligns with Armis’ strategy following its recent acquisitions of Silk Security and CTCI, which have significantly boosted its technological capabilities and market reach.
This acquisition marks Armis’ third major corporate move in less than a year, aiming to fortify its product offerings and enhance its market presence as it gears up for an initial public offering (IPO). Previously, Armis had successfully integrated Silk Security and CTCI into its platform, which led to a remarkable 2000% increase in related revenues.
Armis CEO and Co-founder Yevgeny Dibrov stated, “We are seeing unprecedented demand across all industries but for some specific verticals, customers require a hybrid environment for complete protection. Through this acquisition, Armis can now offer an on-premises solution for customers that require a fully air-gapped environment for heavy industry and critical infrastructure like energy or utilities.”
Daniel Bren, CEO and Co-Founder of OTORIO, also expressed his enthusiasm about the integration, noting, “I am thrilled for our team to be joining Armis at this time and to leverage our deep domain operational context in ICS/CPS environments and help customers achieve complete resiliency and compliant business operations.”
