Klarna and OnePay partner to power Walmart installment loans in the U.S.Klarna and OnePay partner to power Walmart installment loans in the U.S.

Klarna has announced a new partnership with OnePay, a leading consumer finance app, to exclusively power installment loans for purchases at Walmart in the US.

The collaboration will enable millions of Walmart’s weekly customers to access flexible payment options both online and in stores. The service is set to be integrated directly into Walmart’s checkout process later this year.

OnePay, backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital, is already embedded in Walmart’s digital and physical channels, providing a broad range of financial services to consumers and Walmart’s 1.6 million U.S. associates. The platform acts as a comprehensive consumer financial services hub, offering banking, credit, and payments solutions. Through its partnership with Klarna, OnePay is expanding its portfolio to include installment loans, giving consumers more choices when shopping at Walmart.

Klarna co-founder and CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski said, “This is a game changer. Millions of people in the U.S. shop at Walmart every day — and now they can shop smarter with OnePay installment loans powered by Klarna. OnePay choosing Klarna as their exclusive installment loans partner at Walmart in the U.S. is a huge vote of confidence as we pursue our goal of being available everywhere for everything. We look forward to helping redefine checkout at the world’s largest retailer — both online and in stores.”

The new offering will allow Walmart shoppers to use OnePay installment loans powered by Klarna for a wide range of products, including electronics, home and garden, automotive, and more. Once approved, customers can select from repayment plans ranging from 3 to 36 months and manage their loan experience through the OnePay app.

OnePay CEO Omer Ismail said, “It’s never been more important to give consumers simple and convenient ways to access fair credit at the point of sale — and that’s especially true for the millions of people who turn to Walmart every week for everything. We’re incredibly excited to partner with Klarna to give consumers easier and more seamless ways to shop with OnePay at Walmart.”
