Astrada, a FinTech firm focused on streamlining transaction data management, has emerged from stealth mode to introduce a unified API designed to enhance the infrastructure, compliance, and workflows of software companies.
The company is led by CEO Salman Syed, a payments industry veteran with experience at Mastercard and Marqeta, according to FF News.
The launch of this new API comes in response to growing demands from finance leaders and employees for greater visibility into company spending and more efficient expense reporting.
Traditional spend management platforms have struggled with integration complexity, data accuracy, and security concerns, limiting their ability to support businesses using existing card programs.
Astrada provides a solution by enabling software companies to integrate its API, allowing businesses to enrol their existing Visa or Mastercard cards seamlessly.
This innovation bridges the gap between what businesses require and what software platforms can deliver, ensuring real-time visibility into transactions and improving the overall spend management experience.
The company’s platform facilitates a bring-your-own-card approach, giving businesses the flexibility to link their current cards to spend management platforms without the need for a proprietary card issuance.
This removes many operational challenges and enhances data accuracy, security, and integration speed.
One of the key features of Astrada’s platform is its ability to provide real-time transaction insights while maintaining strict data privacy and security standards. Before any transaction data is shared, users must grant permission through a secure process, ensuring compliance and transparency.
Eran Artzi, CEO at Clyr, praised Astrada’s solution, stating, “Astrada’s platform has transformed the way we manage spend. With seamless integration of our customers’ existing enrolled Mastercard and Visa cards, our customers can track and reconcile in real-time. It has saved our users countless hours and improved accuracy across the board.”
Salman Syed, CEO at Astrada, highlighted the significance of this advancement, saying, “Spend management is entering into yet another meaningful evolution. Finance leaders are looking for greater visibility into company spending and employees want a simplified expense reporting process. The era of a more flexible ‘bring your own card’ for spend management companies, along with real-time transaction data feeds, will remove more friction from expense processes and set a new standard for our industry.”
