Revolut, the global FinTech firm known for its digital banking services, has introduced a new wave of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to automate its recruitment and performance review processes.

The London-based company has embedded advanced AI capabilities into its internal People platform, designed to streamline hiring and employee development.

While no new funding round is associated with this update, the move represents a significant technological enhancement to the firm’s operations.

The AI-enhanced platform features automated interview capabilities, real-time performance summarisation, and engagement analytics.

Originally developed in-house to support Revolut’s rapid scale to over 10,000 employees, the platform was commercially launched in 2023, first targeting businesses in the UK and European Economic Area (EEA).

This next iteration expands the system’s functionality with AI-powered interview assessments that match CV content to job requirements, evaluate candidate responses, and deliver performance summaries—without the need for manual note-taking.

This allows interviewers to be more engaged and present during conversations, with the assurance that structured, high-quality feedback is being captured automatically.

Beyond hiring, the platform also evaluates interviewer performance, providing insights to improve their skills and contribute to better recruitment outcomes.

Post-hiring, the AI conducts performance reviews by pulling data from employee feedback, one-on-one meetings, and tracking skill utilisation—even beyond job descriptions—to create holistic evaluations.

Revolut plans to continue evolving the platform to meet the needs of enterprises seeking to attract, assess and retain top-tier talent more effectively. The integration of AI into its HR functions reflects a broader ambition to become not only a FinTech leader but also a pioneer in workplace technology.

Speaking on the development, Andrei Oprisor, Head of People Product at Revolut, said: “Businesses that prioritise recruiting top-tier talent need a people product that they can rely on to help them nurture their employees, figure out where development is needed, and retain those top players.

“That’s where the balance between AI and the human element comes in. Real talent development happens face-to-face by managers inspiring their direct reports. AI is increasingly capable of handling the data and admin side, freeing up more time for managers to focus on guiding talent towards the next step in their careers, as well as figuring out new ways to build cultures and drive positive change for those A-players.”
